Oil prices soar on hopes of Opec production cut

Armenia planning to build new nuclear power generating unit by 2027

Work is underway to extend the operational life of the current energy unit of Armenia’s nuclear power plant until 2027, Energy Minister said at a meeting with Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Jan Mladek Friday, February 12.
According to Yervand Zakharyan, Armenia is going to build a new nuclear power generating unit with a 600 MW capacity by 2027.

Georgia’s “Airzena” air company to resume operating Yerevan-Tbilisi flights

Georgia’s “Airzena” – Georgian Airways will resume operating flights between Yerevan and Tbilisi on June 29, Novosti-Georgia reported Thursday referring to the Georgian economy ministry’s Civil Aviation Agency.

The flights will be operated four times a week, one ticket prices will start from €55.

Regular air communication between Armenia and Georgia was ceased in 2011. Armavia, the then Armenian air company that operated regular flights between the two cities, explaining its decision, said this route was not profitable in winter season.
